Mad About Dance is the project of Teple Misto Platform, aimed at creating a dance platform and development of the modern dance culture in Ivano-Frankivsk, which can make the city one of the most progressive creative platforms of Ukraine and Europe.
The project tasks are:
– uniting active dancers and choreographers who want to develop their skills, improve their mastery level
– promotion of current pedagogical approaches to dance teaching
– popularization of dance as an alternative method of active pastime accessible for everyone, regardless of age and training.
Potential project participants are professional dancers and choreographers as well as amateurs and all interested citizens of Ivano-Frankivsk. The formats of Mad About Dance are festivals, performances, flash mobs, jams, dance battles, and camps. Along with the practice, the theory is also of great importance: educational lectures, meetings with famous experts from Ukraine and abroad. They will help to enlarge the understanding of dance and dance art.
The first projects within the framework of Mad About Dance were contemporary dance festivals Dance with APACHE 2015 and 2016: members of the world famous Ukrainian dance association Apache Crew danced and gave master classes in Ivano-Frankivsk.
