The facility will operate on the basis of social entrepreneurship. As in Urban Space 100, 80% of its profit will be directed to financing social projects for the development of the city of Kyiv.
Urban Space 500 is the second institution of such a model in Ukraine. It will become the first space opened by the prototype and social franchise from the successful Urban Space 100 in Ivano-Frankivsk.
The sustainable functioning of Urban Space 500 will guarantee a management model that combines the social component of the project from NGO “Insha Osvita” in cooperation with “Teple Misto” platform and restaurant management from “Druzi” company.
Urban Space 100 was opened on December 27, 2014. During the two years of the existence of the restaurant, 38 projects were supported for a total of UAH 594 820,00, and nearly 500 events took place. Urban Space 100 has received more than 200 requests from other cities to replicate its model.
