Mab Graves, a famous pop-surrealist artist from the USA, has created three pieces to support Ukraine and Ukrainians affected by war. She sold digital downloads of her paintings and raised more than $20 000, which Mab donated to the Coordination Center Save Ukraine Now aimed to coordinate, analyze, collect, and send any help to places in dire need due to the war conditions.

Mab has painted three pieces; the first one is a young girl in a field of wind-whipped wheat. She stands fiercely, gripping the Ukrainian flag like a spear against a coming storm. The second one is a Mother, protectively holding two young children on each hip. A storm is billowing behind her, and an aircraft's shadow passes above her. The third piece is a portrait of a grandmother standing in a vast, endless field of sunflowers staring straight ahead. 

"I wanted them to remind people of the innocent lives, caught in the middle of this chaos - while also paying homage to their fierce bravery," says Mab Graves.

She listed digital downloads of her paintings in the Etsy store at various donation levels so anyone who wanted to send funds could purchase one.

"I was hoping I could make a couple of thousand dollars to send, and I was completely blown away when my site was flooded. I could wire 20k to “Teple Misto” within just a few days," says Mab. She also made further donations to ROVC Alliance for Ukraine for medical trauma kits and helped with a Returned Peace Corps humanitarian aid.

"It's important to help people watching in horror at what is unfolding in Ukraine understand that this war is Our War, and we can all help fight it together," says Mab.

Mab Graves is a Contemporary Pop-Surrealist artist living and painting in American Midwest. She discovered painting in early 2009. Mab’s work has been shown in galleries globally, and has appeared in print articles, magazines, books, and has been sold in more than 56 countries.

The Coordination Center #SaveUkraineNow was established by Ivano-Frankivsk Municipality, Ivano-Frankivsk Business Association, the Territorial Defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Ivano-Frankivsk, «Teple Misto» сharitable оrganization, innovation center Promprylad.Renovation and Ivano-Frankivsk Drama Theater. In cooperation with other partners, the Coordination Center of Resistance is aimed to meet urgent humanitarian needs and needs of the Territorial Defense Forces in Ivano-Frankivsk city and the region and the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The main goal of the Coordination Center SaveUkraineNow is to coordinate, analyze, collect, and send any sort of help to places that are in dire need. We have created an online database to sync demand and supply and streamline the provisioning process.
